Special Visits

Eyes on Owls

On Saturday, March 1, 2025 we were so lucky to have a special visit from the Eyes on Owls!

Marcia and Mark Wilson founded Eyes on Owls in 1994 as an educational enterprise. They’ll bring owls to Wright-Locke Farm so you and your family can learn more about them and their habitats. The owls that Eyes on Owls care for are permanently disabled – that is they can’t survive on their own in the wild. Many of the owls are survivors of collisions with vehicles. They give each owl a safe, clean, low stress home and all the mice they need to eat (owls don’t eat plants, of course).

Thank you for supporting Forest Friends!

Author Story Hours

Thanks for joining us for our Author Story Hour! Please keep your eyes open for future Author Story Hours!
In June 2023, we hosted two local children’s book authors, Renee Kurilla and Lisa Varchol Perron. Both authors read from their published books. It was fun for children and families of all ages!
We partnered with Book Ends in Winchester. This event benefited the Forest Friends Preschool Sunflower Fund.
